Do you want to achieve your goal

In today’s modern life it gets very hard for many of us to reach the so wanted “Life Balance”.

What does it even mean? It means that all areas of our lives have the adequate level of satisfaction that we want. The life areas include: Business/Career, Health, Finances, Family, Romance, Friends, Personal Growth and Spirituality, Environment, Fun and Recreation.

When our lives are out of balance, we feel stressed. Stress comes in the forms of feeling overwhelmed, overtired, overworked, headaches, body aches, dissatisfaction, unhappiness, low self-esteem, disorientation, feeling of lack of control, of emptiness, of misfortune, etc., etc., etc.

Life can be complex and sometimes we lose track of acknowledging that we may feel stressed because there maybe areas of our lives where there is a lack of imbalance. For example, we may be working in careers applying too many hours and it may be a lack in the areas of self-care/health, and relationships: family, romance, and friends. Another example, maybe busy moms and dads that have jobs, kids, and family obligations it may be preventing them to have a such balance in the areas of personal growth, health and fun.

In any life’s circumstances it is important to first, write down our life map and second, to have goals set. Once we write down the areas of our lives and evaluate where we are, or the level of satisfaction we have in each area, and where we want to go, we can develop goals and an action plan. These can be short- or long-term goals, and the fact that we plan for it already helps with our feeling of lack of control, which is many times the source of stress.

Life balance is a feeling of satisfaction but also is about the basic human needs. Some may be fine with working long hours and be available for their family when they get around to it and that may complete the void one may have, or the same can apply to not giving priority to their health by postponing checkups and exercising. I really want to convey how important is the word “balance” and how truly important because, it will contribute to a healthy and happy life, and if our priorities are only concentrated only a few areas the results will be seen later on in the person’s life.
